Meet Charlie

Your Candidate for Trustee
Your Candidate for Trustee

Charlie has been a municipal accountant for over 30 years.  He is a civilian assigned to oversee the budget for the  Suffolk County Police Department.  That annual budget is  $600 Million.

The annual budget for the Village of Westhampton Beach is about $9 Million Dollars.

Charlie can take a budget, analyze it, and make it entirely comprehensible to just about anyone.  Better than that, when there is a glitch or mistake, he knows how best to correct it and put things in proper order.  Okay, it isn’t really exciting.  It’s accounting, but its important.

Charlie graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 from the School of Business Administration.

Upon graduation from University of Florida Charlie was sworn into the NY Air National Guard, entered officer candidate school, and then completed navigator school in 1982.   Charlie was assigned to the 106th Rescue Group and was stationed in Westhampton Beach where he navigated for Presidential escorts across the Atlantic.  Charlie was also stationed at Keflavik, Iceland for rescue alerts for fighter groups crossing the North Atlantic, and has been assigned to space shuttle mission support and local rescue missions.

Together with his wife Theresa they raised their son, Steven, and daughter, Kathleen, who both graduated from Westhampton Beach High School and are now each in graduate school.

Charlie is a regular volunteer to the Westhampton Rotary Club, a service organization.  You have probably seen Charlie helping out at Camp Paquatuck, the flea market fundraiser, and spaghetti dinners.
